Gift Guide for Travelers
Whether you’re looking for something special for the avid traveler in your life or looking to treat yourself to holiday sale prices, we've got you covered with our personal favorites for travel. From $ to $$$, there's options for all budgets in this guide.
High quality sleep mask ($) I use one from the brand “MZOO” which was recommended by a friend. Cushioned, comfortable, adjustable, and doesn’t let any light in. Silk pouch for packing is included. This makes a thoughtful gift for those who love to snag red-eye flight deals or have a difficult time sleeping with any level of light present.
Calf sleeves ($) For any time that I will be sitting or standing for long periods of time, from work to international plane voyages, I reach for these. Don’t have to be washed as often as compression socks and they reduce my feelings of fatigue.
Noise canceling headphones. ($$-$$$) I have a basic but high quality pair from Sony (Model WH-1000XM4) that make a huge difference. Tune out idiotic conversations around you, immersive enjoy in-flight entertainment, or simply flatten the roaring of jet engines. These have improved my flying experience dramatically.

4. Power bank ($) Your phone is your lifeline when traveling! When you pack a charged power bank, you are packing peace of mind. I have had good experiences with the INIU brand - fast charging and slim profile for packing.
5. Reading light ($) I recommend the Glocusent brand. I tried out a few from them and use their clip on model. It boasts luxurious settings for adjusting the light’s color tone and brightness. Slim profile, easy USB charging, and a cute lavender color make this an essential for me - and a great pick for the on-the-go readers in your life!
6. Doorstop alarm ($) Portable alarm for ensuring that no one sneaks into your room while you’re sleeping! I can take a huge sigh of relief when I set this up. Get this for your friend who consumes an unhealthy amount of true crime entertainment content.
7. Anti-theft cards ($) are a budget-friendly method for preventing identity theft. I was originally looking for RFID wallets but found the available options to be ugly. Katie recommended the simple and cheap solution of simply adding RFID blocking cards to my existing wallet and boom- no pickpocket can casually scan my information.
I can change wallets and purses whenever I want, taking this RFID-NFC blocking card from bag to bag easily.
8. Phone mount ($) My motto in life is to reduce as many variables as possible. When you’re driving in an unknown area, it helps to be able to keep your eyes on the road.
Eyes safely on the road while ears listen to Harry Potter during a road trip to see family in Alabama.
9. Travel containers for shampoo, conditioner, face wash ($) Don’t get your luxurious shampoo or holy grail face wash taken by TSA!
10. Pimple patches ($) my savior. The Hero Micropoint and the regular Panoxyl varieties get heavy use during travel, as I am prone to chin acne when traveling. These make a great gift for the skincare guru in your life!
